All over the place.

Since pops turned the big ONE I've felt completely in a daze. I barely know the day of the week.

Do any other mums get this feeling sometimes?

I think i need to get more organised!
Have you got any top tips? I'm open for suggestions :)

Until the next post,

Stanley chops.

R.I.P my beautiful little boy. My strong little ox.

Theres different types of people in this world When it comes to pets. I'm the type that considers a pet part of the family. It doesn't matter how small or insignificant an animal may be to you in some people's eyes they are the world.
That is how I felt about all 3 of my pigs.
They were my babies and I loved them, last night my stanley pig died... He was going to be 5 on August the 1st so has had a long and I hope happy life.

It's crazy how such a small little ball of fluff will leave such a big hole in our house and lives.

I'll miss hearing him squeak at me for snacks and watching pops try to play with him.

Rest in peace my beautiful Stanners.
We miss you lots already. Give Bruno and Fin lots of cuddles from us!

Until the next post,

unbelievabowl??

There's a bowl out there called the 'unbelievabowl' you may have seen it or heard of it... its by vital baby.

I just got this off their Facebook page.

I bought one for pops a while ago because her favourite thing to do is lift the bowl or plate and turn it over (she still loves doing it)
A bowl that she can't tip over? Amazing. It's not the cheapest thing but if it works it'll save me cleaning up all the mess? That was the plan anyways.

I think it cost around £5 which comes with the base and ONE bowl so I bought the extra bowls you can buy on their own... think they were a few pound on sale in tesco but just seen them on amazon for £11(crazy)

I found that it didn't really work for me or pops and she could easily just slide it round and lift it off... I'm usually the first to complain if I get something that doesn't work but this time I didn't?! I just left the base in cupboard and carried on using the bowl as a well, expensive bowl.
I was having a mooch through the Facebook page and noticed alot of people saying theirs didn't work and they were given an email to get it sorted.
I emailed them and mentioned mine and how it doesn't work and was sent a pretty quick reply (that's good)
I couldn't help but laugh... try it on a glass table or window!
Regardless of if it works on either of those they are not somewhere I will allow my BABY to eat her food.
I know they mean it as to check if it works on them but so what if it does? I bought it to work on her high chair and booster chair but it doesn't.

Have you bought one of these bowls? Are you one of the lucky ones that it works for or are you having trouble?
The email to contact if yours isn't working is below.

One of those moments.

So, yesterday (3/7) I had one of those panic parent moments!
Pops had a reaction to a new sun cream I bought her.
The past few days I've heard nothing but 'keep your kids protected by the sun' on this morning they said that being burnt as a child can increase your likelyhood of getting skin cancer as an adult FOUR times as much. Four times? That's crazy and scary to even think about!!
The suncream I was using on pops is a factor 30 so when I came across a factor 50 I naturally assumed it would be the better... wouldn't everyone? My only thought was sun protection and I completely forgot to take into acount her sensitive skin!
I put the cream on her and off for some lunch we went.
It must have been about an hour and a half later when I noticed pops rubbing her face, she had come out in a bright red blochy rash over the right side of her face around her eye. I was so panicked so as I was phoning my mum for advice I was wiping her face with a wipe to get off the cream (it's the only thing I could think to do) as I was panicking like a mad person a lady saw and came over to help.
She told me it was a reaction and to pop to the chemist to get some periton for her but because pops is under 1 they wouldn't give it to me over the counter so off to the doctors we went. The rash had gone down so much by the time we got there.

We had quite a long wait but pops occupied herself by showing off her new walking skills.

I don't want to be caught out with a situation like that ever again so I'm going to make a first aid pack to keep on me at all times (once finished ill post about it)

Have you ever been in a situation like this or similar?
How did you cope?
Do you have anything you carry around with you incase of emergency?

Until the next post,

Folly farm.

We've had a busy long weekend. MM took Friday (and monday) off to make a long weekend and I was told it's going to be a busy one. We went to folly farm on Friday which is in Pembrokeshire. It's amazing there. It's more like a zoo/soft play/farm/funfair. We got there just after lunch so fed pops

and then headed out to see the animals... first stop was of course the giraffes. (My faves)
I was actually shocked at how close they were, much closer than at London zoo!

We of course popped by the penguins to say hello... last time we went pops fell asleep just before we got to them so we bought her a folly farm penguin!

Considering the whole car journey it was pouring with rain we didn't have high hopes on a nice day but the sun came out and it was lovely, a bit too sunny to stay outside too long with pops though so we went into the farm bit and I got to milk a goat!!!
It was crazy and warm and weird and fun all at the same time!

They have so much to do in the farm area and lots of little things to teach kids about it all but Pops was getting a bit weary of the farm animals so we went to enjoy the soft play (and wear her out for bed)

We all had so much fun in the soft play and there's different ones for different aged kids but all have so many things to do.

She was so tired she fell alseep pretty much the second the car started.

We all had an amazing day and would highly recommend anyone to go. There's so much to do for both adults and kids!
They're adding some new animals (rhino etc) this summer so even more to do.
There's lots of picnic areas so no need to buy food there and if you're on a budget avoid the gift shop on the way out...
The prices are pretty reasonable but there is sooooo much amazing stuff you'll find it hard to stick to a budget.

Dreams.

I've always had really vivid dreams (expect in pregnancy, which is weird) and I always have to tell the person who was in it (if I know them) I don't know why, I think it's because if the dream felt so real then maybe somethings wrong in real life? Last night I had a pretty terrible sleep and kept waking up. I ended up having a dream about an old friend... I don't remember the dream that much but remember being really worried about him. Although I have vivid dreams often I have a handful of dreams I've had that I will never forgot... The sort of ones that you can reply in your mind in so much detail it could have been a film you watched last night. Have you ever had a dream that you'll never forget? Good or bad. Do you believe dreams have meanings? Let me know.

Tooth brushing dilemmas.

Myself and pops are constantly battling this teeth brushing malarkey.
She used to be really good at having a chew and then letting us have a little brush round.. its almost like the more teeth she gets the harder it seems to be.

We have so many different toothbrushes for her and have even let her tried ours a few times.
The toothbrush in the picture is by wisdom and it's what we've had since we started (somehow she keeps hiding them and we've had to keep buying new ones) I think this is the best shape, it's big a sturdy and seems easier to hold and means she's not as likely to grab the wrong end. I've always let pops 'brush' her teeth with that one and I'll take over with a more adult hand friendly one but she's just not into that anymore.
Time to try out some new methods...

Let me know what worked best for you and your little one?
